a dainty spring folk art basket.....

a dainty spring folk art basket......

wool applique on cotton......
couched over embroidery floss for stems....
added some embroidery touches, featherstitching on leaves, chain stitch around flower centers and a half featherstitch on basket......
I used Soft Fuse on my wool applique pieces, steaming them in place on cotton background.....
primitive overcast stitch with YLI Quilting Thread was used to stitch down applique pieces and for the embroidery stitches.....
simple and sweet.....

Lucy and I made Chocolate Egg Nest to share with you.....

Cheri, what a lovely way to tempt us with inspirations of Spring that is just around the corner. I'm lucky to live on the west coast of Canada and have all sorts of bulbs and trees in bloom already.

Thanks for the oattern and recipe!
